Basketball Recap: Mitchell Chenier and Carri Stone Secure Win for Loachapoka

Loachapoka won the last time they faced Beauregard and things went their way on Friday too. The Loachapoka Indians came out on top in a nail-biter against the Beauregard Hornets, sneaking past 58-55. The victory was some much needed relief for the Indians as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Loachapoka was led to victory by Carri Stone and Mitchell Chenier. Stone dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards, while Chenier dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. JaMichael Morris was another key player, putting up eight points.

Loachapoka's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Beauregard, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Loachapoka wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 53-45 victory against Reeltown on the 20th. Beauregard has also already played their next game (against Elmore County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
