Recap: Perry Hall Gators vs. Pikesville Panthers

After a string of six wins, the Perry Hall Gators's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were dealt a 69-21 loss at the hands of Pikesville. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Perry Hall has scored all season.

It was another big night for Mariah Jones-Bey, who scored 17 points along with seven assists and four steals for Pikesville. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Aliyah Taylor, who scored 12 points.

Perry Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 6-1. As for Pikesville, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Perry Hall's road trip will continue as they head out to face Sparrows Point at 5:30 p.m. on January 5th. Sparrows Point's defense has only allowed 28.6 points per game this season, so Perry Hall's offense will have their work cut out for Perry Hall. As for Pikesville, they will head out on the road to face off against Western Tech & Environmental Science at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
