Basketball Game Preview: Freire Charter Dragon vs. High School of the Future

The Freire Charter Dragon will venture away from home to challenge High School of the Future at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Freire Charter has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while High School of the Future will arrive with five straight wins.

Last Thursday, Freire Charter came up short against MAST Charter II and fell 32-24. The match marked the Dragon's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask High School of the Future). They were the clear victor by a 93-67 margin over Academy Park on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory High School of the Future has posted since February 6th.

Freire Charter better keep an eye on Adrian Gray. He was instrumental in High School of the Future's win, putting up 27 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasheef Williams, who posted 20 points.

High School of the Future's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Freire Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Freire Charter took a serious blow against High School of the Future in their previous matchup back in February of 2020, falling 76-48. Can Freire Charter avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
