Case is a perfect 4-0 against West Bridgewater since June of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Cardinals will square off against the Wildcats at 3:45 p.m. Case is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.9 runs per game this season.
Case was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Bourne on Monday. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 22-1 margin over the Canalmen. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cardinals considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Cailyn Durand made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up a single earned run in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Breanna Fontes, who fired off three home runs and seven RBI while going 4-for-4. Those three home runs gave her a new career-high. Nicole Rebelo also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Case always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .694. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bourne only posted an OBP of .111.
Meanwhile, West Bridgewater came up short against Greater New Bedford RVT on Monday, falling 12-3. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Alanna Fidalgo made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Regan Bryant, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base.
Case is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for West Bridgewater, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.
Wednesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Case hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .429. However, it's not like West Bridgewater struggles in that department as they've averaged .340. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Case's way against West Bridgewater in their previous meeting back in April, as Case made off with a 25-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
