Recap: Organ Mountain Knights vs. Gadsden Panthers
The Organ Mountain Knights can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past Gadsden 65-26 at home. The victory was familiar territory for Organ Mountain who now have three in a row.
It was another big night for Caitlin Turnbow, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 12 straight games. Yvanna Villarreal was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Organ Mountain has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Gadsden, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15.
Organ Mountain will head out on the road to face off against Alamogordo at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Alamogordo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday. As for Gadsden, they will be playing at home against Las Cruces at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Las Crucespresents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Gadsden in New Mexico (Las Cruces is ranked 27th, while Gadsden is ranked 92nd).
