Basketball Recap: Eastlake Takes a Loss

Eastlake lost against Eastwood back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eastlake Falcons fell 48-38 to the Eastwood Troopers.

Eastwood got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ineysiah Johnson out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Johnson a new career-high in points. Abigail Ortega was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Eastlake's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Eastwood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Eastlake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 40-33 loss against Socorro on the 17th. As for Eastwood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-49 win against Franklin on the 17th.
