Baseball Recap: Sullivan Gets the Win

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Sullivan nor Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Redskins skirted past the Titans 4-3. The victory continues a trend for the Redskins in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won three in a row.

Easton Wickline spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. He is becoming a predictor of Sullivan's success: when he posts at least eight strikeouts the team is 2-1 (and 4-14 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, Sullivan saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Saul, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Sullivan's win bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland], they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
