Volleyball Recap: Humboldt Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Denver

Humboldt faced Denver in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Cyclones by a score of 2-1. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Cyclones when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Humboldt's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-4. As for Denver, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 23-0.

Humboldt wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Hempstead on the 20th. As for Denver, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Center Point-Urbana on the 20th.
