Basketball Recap: Valiant Cross Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to Ten

Valiant Cross Academy extended their home winning streak to ten games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Deshawn Hall. The Valiant Cross Academy Warriors walked away with a 71-59 win over the Evangel Christian Academy Lions on Thursday thanks in part to Hall, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 boards. He has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 42 times he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Richardson, who posted five points and five rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in January of 2024.

Valiant Cross Academy's victory bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Evangel Christian Academy, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2.

Valiant Cross Academy will venture away from home to take on Lowndes Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 10th. As for Evangel Christian Academy, they will host Fort Dale Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
