Basketball Game Preview: Kingston Redskins vs. Sulphur Bulldogs

The Kingston Redskins will venture away from home to take on the Sulphur Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, in a tight match that could have gone either way, Kingston made off with a 37-36 win over Dickson. The Redskins haven't had any issues with the Comets recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sulphur). Everything went their way against Lone Grove on Tuesday as Sulphur made off with a 71-49 win. The victory was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on four straight.

Kingston's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Sulphur, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.

Kingston strolled past Sulphur in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 55-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kingston since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
