Softball Recap: Charles City Takes a Loss

Charles City was the 11-0 winner over Clarksville when they last played one another back in June of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Comets came up short against the Indians on Saturday, falling 10-1. Comets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Indians since on Saturday.

This is the second loss in a row for Charles City and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Clarksville, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Coincidentally, Charles City and Clarksville will both be playing Clear Lake the next time they take the field. The Indians will host the Lions at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Comets will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
