The Wickliffe Blue Devils will square off against the Gilmour Academy Lancers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Wickliffe 3.4, Gilmour Academy 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Monday, Wickliffe beat Crestwood 4-1. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Leigha Blazetic made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Blazetic wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Sofia Bucar, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Maddie Kita also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Gilmour Academy came out on top against North on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Lancers put the hurt on the Rangers with a sharp 9-2 victory. The Lancers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.
Camden Dreiling spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Ava Gundling was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Gray, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Gilmour Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North only posted a batting average of .222.
The win made it two in a row for Gilmour Academy and bumps their season record up to 8-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Wickliffe, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
