Football Game Preview: Quanah Indians vs. Petrolia Pirates

The Quanah Indians will face off against the Petrolia Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Quanah has given up an average of 34.3 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Quanah came up short against Clarendon and fell 44-36.

Meanwhile, Petrolia suffered their biggest loss since November 14, 2024 on Friday. They were beaten by Windthorst 64-22. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost eight in a row.

Quanah will need to focus on slowing down Greyson Elledge, one of several Petrolia players who made an impact when they last played. He picked up 90 receiving yards and one touchdown.incredibly, Elledge got all that yardage with just one huge grab

Quanah's record is now 5-5. As for Petrolia, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 8-2.
