Basketball Game Preview: North Moore Mustangs vs. South Davidson Wildcats

The North Moore Mustangs will take on the South Davidson Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. North Moore is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Last Friday, North Moore took a blow against Northwood, falling 70-32. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 555th, while the Chargers are ranked 41st).

Meanwhile, South Davidson can bid farewell to their 17-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game last Thursday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 55-54 win over West Davidson.

South Davidson's victory ended a 15-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-14. As for North Moore, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

North Moore strolled past South Davidson when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 65-49. Does North Moore have another victory up their sleeve, or will South Davidson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
