Volleyball Recap: Ace Xiong Key Part of Team Effort in Patriots Win

It was close, but on Monday the Camden Patriots sidestepped the Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks for a 3-2 victory.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (105-101) Camden actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-21, 18-25, 25-21, 15-13.

Camden's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ace Xiong, who had 33 assists and four aces. Those 33 assists gave Xiong a new career-high.

The win got Camden back to even at 3-3. As for Robbinsdale Cooper, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Camden will be playing in front of their home fans against Minneapolis Southwest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Robbinsdale Cooper does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
