The El Camino Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. El Camino is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.2 runs per game this season.
El Camino will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs last Saturday, then bounced right back against Oceanside on Monday. El Camino was the clear victors by a 17-3 margin over Oceanside.

Ethan Stelzer made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero). He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Max Bell looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits.
Back at the plate, Zane Nordquist was a standout: he scored four runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-4. Isaiah Saldivar was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
El Camino always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .619. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Rancho Buena Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 10-2 to Bonita Vista.
Tyler Saldana-Mu?oz was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched eight innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off eight hits.
On the hitting side, Anthony Fanelli was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-6 with one home run and two RBI.
El Camino's record now sits at 3-1. As for Rancho Buena Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Rancho Buena Vista's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: El Camino hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .379. It's a different story for Rancho Buena Vista, though, as they've only averaged .124. Will they be able to contain El Camino's hitters?
El Camino came up short against Rancho Buena Vista in their previous meeting back in April of 2022, falling 9-5. Can El Camino avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
