Kauai had lost eight straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 0-5 to make it nine. They lost 15-3 to the Kapa'a Warriors. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last eight times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

As for Kapa'a, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games.

For Kapa'a's part, Sienna Yamashita was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. Yamashita was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. She has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ashlynn Souza, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Karlee Rose Keale, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI.

As of now, neither Kauai nor Kapa'a have any future games scheduled.
