Basketball Recap: Harding Academy Piles Up the Points Against Wooddale

It was a proper cat-fight when Harding Academy duked it out withWooddale on Saturday. The Harding Academy Lions blew past the Wooddale Cardinals 57-27. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Cardinals are ranked 342nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Harding Academy found their leader in sophomore Bella Rose Austin, who went 8 for 15 on her way to 19 points in addition to six steals and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynne Miller, who went 7 of 12 on her way to 15 points and five steals.

Harding Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Harding Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Wooddale, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-5.
