Basketball Game Preview: St. Joseph Academy Crusaders vs. Canyon Hills Rattlers + How To Watch

The St. Joseph Academy Crusaders will square off against the Canyon Hills Rattlers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

St. Joseph Academy managed to keep up with West Hills until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Crusaders had to suffer through a 67-40 loss at the hands of the Wolf Pack. The loss put an end to the Crusaders' undefeated start to the season.

Despite the loss, St. Joseph Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sean Howard posted 26 points and seven boards. Howard's big performance that afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brewster Gale, who had eight points along with 13 rebounds and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Canyon Hills suffered their closest defeat since January 10th on Saturday. They fell just short of Otay Ranch by a score of 49-47. The Rattlers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Canyon Hills now has a losing record of 3-4. As for St. Joseph Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
