Pinecrest Academy faced St. Francis in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Paladins enjoyed a cozy 34-20 victory over the Knights. The win was familiar territory for the Paladins, who have now won five games in a row.

August Wearne threw for 187 yards and one TD on only 15 passes. Michael Lynch was his top target, picking up 93 receiving yards.

Despite the loss, St. Francis still got an impressive performance from Eli Pawlish, who rushed for 127 yards and one score, and also threw for 121 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Pawlish is becoming a predictor of the Knights' success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 3-1 (and 0-5 when he doesn't).
