Basketball Game Preview: Serena Huskers vs. Hall Red Devils

The Serena Huskers will square off against the Hall Red Devils at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Thursday, Serena was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 39-33 to Indian Creek.

Despite the loss, Serena had strong showings from Anna Hjerpe, who posted 12 points in addition to five boards and three steals, and Brynley Glade, who had ten points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against Newman Central Catholic, falling 63-36. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 321st, while the Comets are ranked 97th).

Hall's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Serena, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
