Volleyball Game Preview: Lakewood Tigers vs. Dakota Ridge Eagles + How To Watch

For the first time this season, Lakewood will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will venture away from home to take on the Dakota Ridge Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Wednesday, Lakewood didn't have quite enough to beat Vista PEAK Prep and fell 3-2. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Lakewood sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-23, 18-25, 25-19, 21-25, 15-8.

Meanwhile, Dakota Ridge faced Valor Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Dakota Ridge came up short against Valor Christian, falling 3-0. Dakota Ridge hasn't had much luck with Valor Christian recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-16, 25-14.

Dakota Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Lakewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Lakewood might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Dakota Ridge in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
