Baseball Game Preview: Rose Bud Ramblers vs. Cave City Cavemen

The Rose Bud Ramblers will venture away from home to challenge the Cave City Cavemen at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Rose Bud will be strutting in after a victory while Cave City will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, Rose Bud made easy work of England and carried off a 19-10 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Ramblers.

Calan English and Nick Golla were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, English pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Golla struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. At the plate, English went 2-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Golla went 3-for-4 with four RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jay Bell, who scored four runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Bell, who scored four runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-5.

Meanwhile, Cave City lost 12-2 to Highland on Thursday. The Cavemen have struggled against the Rebels recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.
