Basketball Recap: Saint Francis Takes a Loss

Saint Francis lost against St. Ignatius College Preparatory back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Saint Francis Lancers came up short against the St. Ignatius College Preparatory Wildcats, falling 59-39. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 422nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 23rd).

Saint Francis has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for St. Ignatius College Preparatory, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Saint Francis will welcome Junipero Serra at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Ignatius College Preparatory, they will venture away from home to square off against Bellarmine College Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
