Basketball Recap: Westville Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Westville can now relate to. They fell to the Warrensburg-Latham Cardinals 43-39. The Tigers lost against the Cardinals in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 59-29 score last time.

Despite the defeat, Westville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gwen Bennett dropped a double-double with 23 points and 13 boards. Bennett continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Westville's loss dropped their record down to 10-21. As for Warrensburg-Latham, their victory bumped their record up to 13-17.

As of now, neither Westville nor Warrensburg-Latham have any future games scheduled.
