Baseball Recap: Rosamond Takes a Loss

Rosamond had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 14-5 to make it four. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kern Valley Broncs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Roadrunners of the 14-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Shawn Webb made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

As for Kern Valley, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-7. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games.

On Kern Valley's side, Jackson Price spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up eight Ks. Price also tossed no walks, which is notable because the Broncs are 6-2 when he allows at most two walks, but 4-5 otherwise.

At the plate, Aiden Madden was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Owinn Liske, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rosamond will welcome Desert at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Kern Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against California City at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Broncs will need to watch out since the Ravens have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
