Mason Atkins posted a new career-high in passing yards on Friday. He threw for 264 yards and four touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. He was dominant the last time he took on Elgin back in September of 2024, so they probably should've seen this coming.

Atkins and West Aurora will square off against South Elgin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blackhawks got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Storm thanks in part to Atkins: he rushed for 16 yards and one score, and also threw for 93 yards and one TD.
