Baseball Recap: New York Mills Marauders vs. Town of Webb Timberwolves
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New York Mills). Everything went their way against the Town of Webb Timberwolves on Monday as they made off with a 17-7 victory. The Marauders haven't had any issues with the Timberwolves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Andrew Tallman made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Tallman was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, New York Mills got a massive performance out of Richard Zalocha, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Elijah Dutcher was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
