Softball Recap: Leonia Comes Up Short

Leonia blew Wood-Ridge out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Wood-Ridge got their revenge. The Lions fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 5-3. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Leonia and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Wood-Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leonia will challenge Mary Help of Christians Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wood-Ridge, they will head out to challenge Lodi at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
