Basketball Game Preview: Birch Run Panthers vs. New Lothrop Hornets

The Birch Run Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the New Lothrop Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Birch Run will be strutting in after a win while New Lothrop will be coming in after a defeat.

On Friday, Birch Run earned a 62-50 victory over Lakeville.

Meanwhile, New Lothrop was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 56-32 to Chesaning.

Birch Run is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for New Lothrop, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Birch Run suffered a grim 60-40 defeat to New Lothrop when the teams last played back in February of 2022. Can Birch Run avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
