Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Dunsmuir). They put the hurt on the Westwood Lumberjacks with a sharp  9-1 victory on Thursday.
Dunsmuir got a big performance out of  Thomas Burts, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  RBI.  Jakob Sovine was another key player,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with two  RBI and one  run.
 Dunsmuir  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .529. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Dunsmuir's first  win this season bumped their record up to 1-12. As for Westwood, their loss was  their third straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 0-3.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lumberjacks beat Dunsmuir by a score of  10-9 later that day.
