Softball Recap: D'iberville's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against St. Patrick last Saturday, D'Iberville came back down to earth. The Warriors fell just short of the Columbia Wildcats by a score of 3-2 on Monday.

Emerson Hall was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Hall was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

D'Iberville's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-12. As for Columbia, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

D'Iberville will head out to face off against St. Martin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors are facing the Yellow Jackets at the right time seeing as the Yellow Jackets are stuck on a four-game losing streak. Columbia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
