Yerington came tearing into Tuesday's game with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 57-17 victory over the Coral Academy of Science - Reno Falcons. 57 seems to be a good number for the Lions as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Leading Yerington to victory were Laney Triplett and Saydee Whistler. Triplett went 12 for 23 en route to 32 points, while Whistler posted eight points along with ten steals and five assists. Triplett has become a key player for Yerington: the team is undefeated when she posts at least 20 points, but 5-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Justice Aguilar, who earned five points and five boards.

Yerington smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 13 consecutive contests.

Yerington is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Coral Academy of Science - Reno, they dropped their record down to 4-14 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Silver Stage the next time they take the court. Yerington will host Silver Stage at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Coral Academy of Science - Reno will host them at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
