St. Luke's Episcopal came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins dating back to last season, and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the West Harrison Hurricanes.

While St. Luke's Episcopal won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-19.

Amelia Smith paced St. Luke's Episcopal's offense, picking up 12 kills. Smith got some help from Baker Garside and her 24 assists. Riley Reynolds controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

St. Luke's Episcopal's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for West Harrison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Luke's Episcopal is headed away from home for the first time to take on Faith Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Harrison, they will head out to face off against Gulfport at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
