Volleyball Recap: Stony Point Gets the Win

Stony Point hadn't done well against Vandegrift recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Vipers 3-2. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Stony Point was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (104-100), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-23, 25-21, 14-25, 15-10.

Aubree Bagley was nothing short of spectacular: she had 19 assists and 13 digs. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Stony Point is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-17 record this season. As for Vandegrift, their loss dropped their record down to 13-18.

Looking ahead, Stony Point will take on Hutto at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Vandegrift, they will challenge Manor at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vipers are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
