Baseball Game Preview: J.L. Mann Patriots vs. Woodmont Wildcats

For the second straight game, J.L. Mann will face off against Woodmont. J.L. Mann will square off against Woodmont at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. J.L. Mann will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, J.L. Mann needed a bit of extra time to put away Woodmont. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wildcats, sneaking past 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Patriots have posted against the Wildcats since April 12, 2018.

Riggs Manning was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Griffin King, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

J.L. Mann's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Woodmont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-6.
