Baseball Recap: Scotia-Glenville Wins Going Away Against Glens Falls

There's no place like home for Scotia-Glenville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against the Glens Falls Black Bears on Monday as they made off with an 11-2 win. The match marked the Tartans' most dominant victory of the season.

Tyler Gray made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Dylan Cruz was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sam Watson, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Scotia-Glenville pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Glens Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5-1.
