Soccer Game Preview: Leander vs. New Braunfels

The Leander Lions will square off against the New Braunfels Unicorns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Leander will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Leander proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by five) and last Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past Glenn 1-0. Collins Maxwell had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Leander.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in February, New Braunfels was forced to settle for a draw on Friday. They and Boerne finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw. While a more conclusive result would've been nice, New Braunfels got plenty of practice considering the match was the highest-scoring draw the team's played all season.

New Braunfels' draw gives them a new season record of 12-7-4. As for Leander, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3-4.
