Softball Recap: Wallington Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Wallington hadn't done well against North Arlington recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Vikings a 9-0 shutout. The Panthers were shut out 10-0 the last time they took on the Vikings, so the Panthers were just returning the favor.

Wallington has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for North Arlington, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-8.

Looking ahead, Wallington will square off against Waldwick at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Arlington, they will head out to take on New Milford at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
