Barrow faced Homer in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Whalers walked away with a 22-14 win over the Mariners. The victory was familiar territory for the Whalers, who have now won three contests in a row.

Barrow was led to victory by Malu Lauvao and John Taylor. Lauvao gained 82 total yards and three touchdowns, while Taylor threw for 50 yards and two TDs.
