Volleyball Recap: Alexa Casiano Key Part of Team Effort in Mustangs Win

Otay Ranch was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the La Habra Highlanders 2-1.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Otay Ranch to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alexa Casiano, who had ten digs and three aces. That's the most digs Casiano has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Aryannah Garingo, who had 19 assists and five digs.

Otay Ranch's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for La Habra, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Otay Ranch wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Sage Hill on the 12th. As for La Habra, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Florence on the 12th.
