Baseball Game Preview: Hawthorne Bears vs. Lodi Rams

The Hawthorne Bears will take on the Lodi Rams at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Lodi will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Hawthorne extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday. The Bears' pitchers stepped up to hand Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology a 14-0 shutout. That 14 run margin sets a new team best for the Bears this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lodi, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over Saddle Brook on Thursday.

Angel Alfaro was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Lodi's win bumped their record up to 3-4-1. As for Hawthorne, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
