Basketball Recap: Ottawa Comes Up Short

Ottawa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 48-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Streator Bulldogs. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 54-38.

Ottawa's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Streator, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ottawa will take on Marmion at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Streator, they will square off against Wilmington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
