McDonell Central had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Augusta Beavers on Tuesday. The Macks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 contests by six runs or more this season.

The win was the seventh in a row for McDonell Central, bringing their record up to 22-6-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Augusta, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-7.

Looking ahead, McDonell Central will face off against Grantsburg on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Macks 3.1, the Pirates 2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Augusta does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
