Volleyball Game Preview: Olentangy Berlin Bears vs. New Albany Eagles

The Olentangy Berlin Bears will square off against the New Albany Eagles at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.

On Tuesday, Olentangy Berlin came up short against Olentangy and fell 3-1.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Olentangy scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 19-25, 25-23.

Mitchell Moran put forth a good effort for the losing side as he had 11 digs and two assists.

Meanwhile, New Albany beat Dublin Jerome 3-1 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

The victory didn't come easy: Dublin Jerome scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 28-26, 19-25, 25-23.

New Albany's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Olentangy Berlin, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.

Olentangy Berlin beat New Albany 3-1 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
