Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Williston-Elko's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to Calhoun County.
Wagener-Salley's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-11. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.1 points per game. As for Williston-Elko, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
