            Baseball Recap: New Diana Eagles vs. Rains Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            New Diana had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with  an   8-4  victory over the Rains Wildcats. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the   8-6 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in April of 2024.

 Justice Hankins made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching six innings while giving up  four earned runs off   five  hits. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Remi Rountree was a standout: he scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Jon Wick, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
 New Diana  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .538. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
New Diana's victory bumped their record up to 10-6-1. As for Rains, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record  this season.
 New Diana does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rains, they will face off against Prairiland at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
