General Brown entered their tilt with Gouverneur on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They enjoyed a cozy 61-47 victory over the Gouverneur Wildcats. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 51-49 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Gouverneur still got an impressive performance from Raine Rumble, who posted 27 points. That was a full 57.4% of Gouverneur's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb Platt, who had ten points.

General Brown's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Gouverneur, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 4-7.

General Brown has already played their next game (against Watertown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Gouverneur will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Harrisville at 7:00 p.m. on January 21st.
