Game recap: Urbana High School Football Team bests Tuscarora

IJAMSVILLE, Md. - After three lead changes, Urbana (Ijamsville, Md.) took the lead for good when Darren Ambush ran for a touchdown with 5:00 remaining in the third quarter and held on to defeat Tuscarora (Frederick, Md.) 27-14 on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Donovan Pannell, the Titans went into halftime with a 14-13 lead. The Hawks scored the winning points with a Ambush touchdown run that came in the third quarter.

Pannell played well for Urbana in the victory. The sophomore quarterback threw two touchdowns and ran for one touchdown.

UHS had given up an average of 12.7 points prior to the contest.

A 36-6 Urbana victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.



With the win the Hawks extended their winning streak to three games.

Urbana (7-3) will play a Monocacy Valley - Piedmont game against Linganore next week, while Tuscarora (1-8) will take on Oakdale also in a Monocacy Valley - Piedmont game.
