New Philadelphia won the last time they faced River View and things went their way  on Saturday too. New Philadelphia came out on top against River View by a score of  5-1. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Quakers.
 Olivia Jackson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out six batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   six  hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run and one  double. That  home run was  her first of the season.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Reese Loveday, who  went 1-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in March of 2024.  Sidney Vandall was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
 New Philadelphia  lost a few balls and  finished the game with two  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've managed all season.
New Philadelphia's record is now 5-1. As for River View,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-4.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Philadelphia will square off against Dover at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (New Philadelphia 2.7, Dover 1) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for River View, they will face off against Philo at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
